Homeware Haul

Ok, ok, ok I KNOW I’m not moving until September to Leeds but I swear these things NEEDED me to buy them, they literally asked, cried out for Rachel to take them home, so I did. If I’m a bad person, so be it. Though I don’t exactly know how I’ll get them over, I may wrap them with bubble wrap…which means bubble wrap to pop in Leeds. Sweet! See it was meant to be.
Anyway let’s get down to business (now singing Mulan).

Little Yellow Bunting

This bunting was £2 from eBay! If this was at Urban Outfitters I’d probably faint at the price but for such a bargain I couldn’t say no. Plus look how easy it is to pack so it was a necessity. Coming in 3 colours including blue and pink I’m not sure where this is going to go but something this cute will definitely find a home in my flat.

List Book
Ok, so this isn't exactly something for my home but its really going o help with the planning and God do I love a list. From it's pastel colours to the post-it notes on the inside I couldn't help myself when picking it up from Paperchase. I just need a really nice pen to go with it and its going to get a huge amount of use.

Primark Duvet set
Where has Primark homeware been all my life?  I love this. I know its bad to pick out bedding without my boyfriend considering he'll be sleeping in it but ah well, he won't mind. I love the print, its geometric bears! There was also a teal racoon cover but I thought that was maybe a little bit too far. However, for £11 for a double I really can't complain!

Ikea Mugs
These mugs were an impulse buy but they're huuugggeeee! They remind me of the mug I used to use of cereal in Nice so I obviously had to have them...maybe...they won't take up that much room anyway.

EBay Wishlist #3

These sorts of posts are quite easy to throw up but I really want to extend and show off some of my better finds that I've bid on during my time. However, my camera sucks and I'm currently using a Nokia C3-01, google it, I dare you. Photos are definitely not happening on that crappy thing. I upgrade in August so hopefully when I get a new iPhone outfits and such will start popping up on the blog. Furthermore, I have nowhere to shoot. Luckily my little sisters moving to her new flat in Botanic at the start of July and there are loads of pretty backgrounds there so at least that's one thing sorted, just gotta wait.
Anywho, here's another four things I've been watching on eBay recently. It's kind of a mixed bag this week, I've been sort of all over the place with work but anyway, here we go.

I've always wanted a tapestry like this to hang of my ceiling to make my room all the more cosy. I never got round to it of course but with moving maybe its time. Of course, it won't be for the same purpose, I don't think I could convince my boyfriend of that. However, with the heat in the summer (I got sun burnt yesterday!) one of these is a good thing to have when you have to kick your leg out of bed but don't want demons to get you. Its a nice cover and a nice throw and will look lovely in my flat in Leeds.

I've been wanting to get healthier for a long time and I've been slowly been making changes to my diet. Cutting out crisps, eating more fruit, sneaking vegetables into my cooking but I'm really going to crack down on it when I move. It's a bit difficult doing it at home because at times I'm making three different meals but once I've my own space, my own freezer and a few good recipes behind me I can begin to plan out meals and so on and lose some weight. This cookbook by the Hemsley sisters has been raved about and I've had a flick through and the recipes look insanely good. If I can master a couple of these including the loved courgetti, I think it'll be a good aid in the kitchen.

I can never have too many mugs and I don't have much to say on this apart from, its a decent size, it has a bloody unicorn on it and that makes me happy. If I was to have my morning tea in this every day it couldn't help but make the day a bit brighter.

I've been reading a lot more now that summers and my adult life has started and its a bit strange reading at my own pace. However, if now's not the time to pick up a success story then I don't know when that time is. I'm lost and Sophia Amoruso's tale from monotonous day job in health insurance to founder and CEO of Nasty Gal is amazing and proves that with determination and knowing when to break the rules anybody can make it. Things don't fall into people's laps and the world isn't an easy place and to see something like this which is so successful is encouraging. It's a lesson I will heed when I jump into the job market, that in the words of Tyler Durden I am not a 'beautiful and unique snowflake' but I'll damn well show what I've got.

EBay Wishlist #2- Game of Thrones

It's over, series five is over and now I've wait until near enough my birthday until series six and I'm not ok with this. I don't know why I though there were 12 episodes, there has never been twelve episodes but maybe my heart couldn't take it ending, I've dedicated five years and now its just saddness. Also I give no spoilers just complaining. What's worse is I live in Belfast. They film half o it here, the other week I saw a three eyed crow outside city hall. The white walkers attacked Custom House Square with ice and froze the fountains, we even got a bloody dragon in the zoo. Every day there's a reminder. Facebook posts from extras (go down the pub Lavery's about 50% of its patrons have been an extra- they're a beardy lot) our Game of Thrones tour, the welcome centre is littered with merchandise and everyone is still bitching about the ending.
Anyway, I took to EBay to look at stuff to cheer me up so here's four things I found that I need...want, that I really, really want and can't justify buying.

Shot Glasses
I need these in my life to play the Game of Thrones drinking game whilst I get hammered and cry to myself over all the deaths. George R. R Martin you are evil and are going to push me to alcoholism. Can also be used for other drinking games including Eurovision, which was a rough night.

Jon Snow Shirt
I'll be honest, this isn't for me, this is for my boyfriend. I  think the design is awesome and makes Jon look like the height of cool with a baseball bat. What's not to love?

Mother of Dragons Tee
I'm not a princess, I'm a Khaleesi and now Game of Thrones is over I can show off how much of a badass I am. But really its just a plain white shirt so its really versatile for my wardrobe, plus its pretty cheap so I have to have it.

Stark Necklace
To show my allegiance even though they've been dispersed, a remembrance of the Red Wedding. Its cute and small which is nice to just show a little bit of celebration of one of my favourite shows in my day to day life. I could even get away with it at work but I'd probably have older people asking me why I have a wolf on my neck. I've already tried to give a PG description of the show to a resident and that was just awful.

EBay Wishlist #1- Geek Edition

IT’S NEARLY Q-CON!!!!!!!!
Ahem, sorry. Q-con is an anime convention at the local university that I’ve been going to for the last 7 years and I’m so pumped that its back. We don’t have many cons in Northern Ireland, I think we’ve 3? One in Belfast, one in Derry (run by the gaming society at Ulster Magee campus) and comic con which has only come for two years so for a long time my anime buzz came from Q-con. It is awesome and there’s so much stuff to do unlike some (*cough* comic con *cough*) from actual anime screenings, movie showings to a group of 500, for example, the first Pokémon movie which was just hilarious because everyone just took the piss. Then there’s the cosplay, the competitions, the stalls, the local artists and of course, the pub. I act like a fourteen year old again every time it comes. The last few years I’ve been selling my sisters jewellery so I’ve missed the atmosphere for a while but nevertheless it has got me eBaying away nerdy things I want. So without further ado, here are four things I’ve been pining for.

Totoro onesie
First things first is this kigu. I have one, my boyfriend got me it for Christmas but I wore it so much it ripped, like badly so I can’t fix it so I need another one for lazing around and watching Netflix. Plus it’s so cute! If it was acceptable to wear one in public, I would.

Tetris Lamp

This lamp is everything. You can build it! Like Tetris! And it’s colourful! This is everything I want for my flat and I need it like Spongebob needs water.

Sailor Moon handbag
Sailor Moon is the best. It is childhood. And what else can I do to celebrate this than get a Luna handbag. Just look at it, its so kawaii. Also, what I like about it is that it’s quite a subtle touch. It’s not full blown cosplay but it’s a way of showing nerdy love to an anime which can easily be infiltrated into your wardrobe. This is definitely on my wish list.

Pokémon Badges
I wanna be the very best like no one ever was and obviously, I should take this mentality to being an adulty adult. To do so though I need some badges you know that I’ve earned >.> so yeah Pokémon badges that I can put on everything. The original Kanto are the best because of their colours (though Hoenn is my favourite) and though they’re already on my laptop I think I still need some for my coats, bags, shirts, everything I can pin really. Plus it’ll take me right back to my childhood because I totally still don’t play Pokémon…
